Do you know, as a Human, what Human rights are?

Human rights are the basic rights and freedoms that belong to every single person in the world, from birth until death. They apply to everyone equally, regardless of where you are from, what you believe, or how you choose to live your life.

What is included in those rights?

These rights are based on shared values like dignity, fairness, equality, and respect. They include the right to life and liberty, freedom of speech, and the right to a safe place to live. Human rights also protect you from unfair treatment, cruelty, and discrimination.

Does the Goverment have a saying in this?

Governments make laws to protect these rights so that people can live together in peace and safety. You can never lose your human rights, though they can sometimes be restricted if you break the law or harm others. In short, they ensure that every human being is treated with decency and has the chance to live a good life.

Where is it written? (Article 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights)

Article 26 covers the right to education. A key quote from this article is:

"Everyone has the right to education. Education shall be free, at least in the elementary and fundamental stages."

Does internet access help or hinder the realization of this right?

Internet access mostly helps realize the right to education, though it comes with some challenges.

  • How it helps (Advantages): The internet gives students instant access to a massive world of knowledge, online textbooks, educational videos, and free courses. It also allows people living in remote areas or those who cannot physically attend school to learn from home.

  • How it can hinder (Disadvantages): If a student does not have a computer or a stable connection (known as the "digital divide"), they can fall behind. Additionally, the internet contains a lot of fake news, distractions, and unsafe content that can make learning harder.
